After a Long Time

Ratz says:

It’s been five days since I walked last. So, it did have a great impact on me today. All the holiday weight reminded me to go for my walk this evening. It was a very cold evening and I could walk for only half an hour for I need more time focus on my studies. I have a tight schedule coming up but I should never make it a hindrance in my walks.

So as I was saying, it was a cold evening and as I started my walk later than usual, the mist had already started to set in. There was less light this evening but I did see many birds returning back to their homes. There weren’t many walkers when I started but gradually I saw an increase in the number. I took these few pictures. It is a marigold season and these flowers are just amazing. Their bright colours among the other colours of the winter stand out.

It is also nearing a full moon in my place and the moon did come out early. It had become unbearably cold later in the evening and surely my sweat shirt wasn’t enough to protect me.

I feel horribly lazy to wake up in the morning as intended. I wish summers come back soon, waking up early in the morning is the last problem then… but I guess winters have their pluses too…

An Absent Minded Walk

Ratz says:

Another evening walk for us! Yeah I know, I have written before that it is gonna be morning walks for us again but sincerely we couldn’t get up this morning. So an evening walk was the only feasible option.

We went to the park at around 5: 30 pm. It was a crowded place today nothing like I had imagined of it today. Screams and shouts every where and they didn’t die out soon. With the winter vacations, the schools are off and we have kids running around throughout the day. There were three other walkers besides us.

It was a very dull evening though with the colours of the sun almost faded out for the day and not a sign of wind. Though it was Christmas Eve, it didn’t look anything like it… We both were listening to songs and talking now and then. There wasn’t much to do besides walking absent mindedly. The fact reflects in this that I am not able to recall anything from my evening walk.

Well I guess, sometimes we have to put an end without even beginning… Though I don’t have much to say, I would like to wish you all a very warm Christmas… I hope that the colours and the lights of Christmas warm our hearts and make us happy throughout the coming year….

A Morning Walk Finally

Ratz says:

Hi everyone! As you can remember that yesterday’s post was written by my sister… Well it has been quite busy for me and I am glad that she helped me out of will…

We have formulated a sort of time table and decided to continue with our morning walks (as the theme of our blog)- so, our first morning walk in a very long time… it was a very lazy morning and we had to pull each other out of our bed. But once done with that we were out in the park welcomed by a large group of people from all ages. Badminton players, walkers, lively gossipers, few kids accompanying their parents and of course ever present and charming birds and squirrels! Oh! I missed them… you can’t them often in the evening.

It was very cold and the met department here predicts further lowering of temperatures. For some vague reason, I trust them now. Though I was wrapped up warmly and though in my shorts I only felt the cold in my waving hands. I should put on gloves from tomorrow. My sister and I were both listening to songs and sometimes talking, we had to walk in a single file so as not to distract the other walkers. I also met one of my ‘Greeting Friends’.

The ground was wet with the dew from over night and there were some dew drops on the leaves. Though the sun hadn’t come out yet, it promised of a warm morning thereafter.

I had a class later so we hurried back after a 45 minutes walk, that too, on my sister’s persistent reminding that I’ll end up late. I have a positive feeling that she really enjoyed today. I didn’t take any pictures today, as there wasn’t much of anything strikingly peculiar, just everyday normal things that we see… Tomorrow I guess, I should get something to capture… See you all…

A New Writer

Nitz says:

Hey everyone! It was again a wonderful evening for us. Though it might be completely new to you all hearing this from me (I know you must have been used to Ratz, my sister) but it is a pleasurable obligation for me to write on her behalf.

After we hurried with our shopping early evening, I was totally exhausted and hoped we skipped our today’s evening walk. However, with Ratz as your opposition it was just not possible. She was all set to go and so I tagged along.

So there we were on our evening walks… The best part about walking with your sister is that one could talk about anything and everything and know that the listener will never get bored and will walk the miles with you! Though today we didn’t chat as much as we normally do but the walk filled up the silence now and then. It was dark already when we had entered the park so we didn’t have much of a chance to admire the leaves’ soothing green colour or the blooming of a bud but what I did admire was my sister’s pace of walking. At times she had to pull me by my hand to make me keep pace with her.

As we were about to finish our walk and head back home, a little girl whom we often wave to and had once played with, approached us to play with her. We decided to have a race from one end of the walkway to the other. As I knew Ratz was the winner and I stood second and I was pretty satisfied with that!!

From shopping to walking and then over to running, it was a one exhausting evening but with a whole lot of smiling…!

Walking Together

Ratz says:

A very good evening everyone… it was a great evening walk for me this evening or should I say for ‘us’. Yes my sister joined me in my evening walk and we had a great evening together. An hour of fun and full of sister talks!!!!!

It was a nice evening. Not many walkers, just a bunch of ladies talking and chattering, kids, kids and more kids. As the construction is been over with, it is really motivating to come to the park for a walk. I met one of my ‘Greeting Friends’ and wished him a good evening. The weather has taken a great dip as far as the temperature is concerned and there is always a tinge of mist to welcome people at all times.

An hour of brisk walk and some good sights made our evening. I am trying to persuade my sister to join me more often and I sincerely wish that it does happen. As often I say that I would like to be in a place with a yearly good snowfall, these are the only snow flakes I can share with you.

The flowers on this tiny little plant are so beautifully white and remind me of snow flakes.

As the evening set to take off, it lent a range of spectral colours. The sky above our heads was violet while our eyes saw hues of orange and red near the horizon. The night sky let us see a glimpse of a perfect crescent moon like a smiley. We started off at around 6:15 and by the time it had turned colder.

Though such temperatures discourage going out but I cannot deny the freshness they give me. The fresh rich air is really soothing and clears your mind of all the sad thoughts. Hoping to get the answers that I am looking for!

Ratz says:

It has been a whole week since I went to the park. This evening did especial help as I had been side lined to my room alone and was desperately in need of some fresh air. There wasn’t much to describe from the park today.

A very chilly but a calm evening… there were many kids playing today and not many walkers. When I went to park there was only walker besides me. But I enjoyed the solitary walk. I was listening to songs and was happy for a very delightful news. I couldn’t resist a smile and everytime I thought of it, I felt like walking on a layer of clouds. It was a very good evening but not a single movement.

There had been many things bugging my head and being able to believe in myself did help a lot during the tough times. Wishing you all a very happy day.

Walking Back the Memory Lane

Ratz says:

It was cloud show this evening. The best thing that comes along with a full display of clouds is the limitless imaginations that gain great shapes turning back times. When we were kids, I am sure almost all of us would have found a great game in forming shapes with clouds and oh! what fun they were…..

It was a very calm evening in the park if I minus the shouts of the boys playing cricket in the playground. My mind was absorbed by the beautiful sky. The saying “Every cloud has a silver lining” was so live in front of my eyes except the fact that I witnessed a whole spectrum of colours from golden yellow to flame red. I think I understood how they form colours…….

Gradually as the sun set in, the colours changed to more shades if grey and it was then I saw so many faces and places. I located the whole world map, from South America to Italy….. some tornadoes and I think I saw a hyena and a dolphin too….. What an hour I would say…..

It was a great evening walk for me and I hope that you all had a great walking experience to put into your pages of life…….

What A Day!!!!

Ratz says:

Oh! Great to be back……

And what a day to begin with. A great little rain in the morning to cheer the convalescing!!!!! The weather turned cold due to that half an hour of drizzle.

I sincerely believe that this season is a season of beauty in singles. Why I am saying so?? Check these photos…..

On the whole, I had a great time walking after being ill. And it felt very good and comfortable to look at the greens.

The construction work has gathered great shape and momentum and looks very decent.

By the end of the evening clouds took very impressive patterns…..

A Morning Walk, Finally

Ratz says:

After such a long time, I had the benefit of going for a morning walk. I had a class today as well and so I went for a very short walk somewhat around 25 minutes. But it was a beautiful day.

The first sight I saw as I entered the park was the badminton players having a very good game. Not many walkers though. Many of them had finished their walking and were chatting with their friends. So, the park echoed with occasional bursts of laughter.

It was a very cold morning and the sun had not yet set out for the morning. There was still some mist hanging in the air. My hands were totally numb from the effect of the cold wind. And though the cold has brought down the temperature by great degrees, I couldn’t see dew drops.

On my last round, I spotted this cute, little marigold flower braving the cold and standing all alone. It looked really cute.

Though a short walk, I am happy that after a long time I could do this. Happy Walking all and enjoy your life.

Back to Walk Again

Ratz says:

Finally after a week of missing walks, I could pacify my guilt. Little did I know before today what importance these walks had become in my life. Just the idea of going to walk charged me up with enthusiasm.

And so when I started off, I was very happy. I walked for an hour and it seemed like after so many days. I welcomed every sight that I was granted. There was a bunch of kids playing football and besides them almost no one else. After half an hour or so, I met my latest greeting friend. And after that a few faces, those whom I had seen before but not regularly.

The park looked so beautifully different. There were many new plants and small trees. There have been a few beds carved out and an added version of greenery. Somehow, I felt there was more light in the park.

I am especially fond of this tree and everytime I pass it, it allures me with its charm.

I noticed this place today. It is a very beautiful area with these trees whose names I don’t know, and with the green grass.

The construction has reached a new level and progressing. When I entered the park, there were a few workers just winding up their day’s work.

In this picture you can see the house which is all geared up for a wedding. The nearby playground was decorated for the same and there was an additional element of commotion because of it. But the best thing was rising smell of the food that was being prepared.

As the night set in, the lights were switched on and the park lit up borrowing the lights from the playground. The sky was with a beautiful violet tinge and with one bright star that I always look upto.

But I simply am happy to have walked today. I hope you guys have been having a great walking time too.

No Time

Ratz says:

No walks for me for the past two days. Totally checked out by classes. Even tomorrow I have a class. But I took these pictures as I found the colours very warm and pleasant.

This is the picture of the sun this evening when I left for my karate class. Please don’t mind the bad quality for I took these pictures in a hurry!

My Today's Walk

Ratz says:

My evening walk started off very late and continued late. I was having a great nap full of action dreams and when I woke up I was so sure that I had missed my walk even today. Checking the time I found that it was only 5: 30 pm and hardly believing my sleepy vision, I checked and re- checked. Confirming the time, I got up with a jump and got ready for my walk wearing whatever I could lay my eyes upon.

Not many walkers at the time I entered the park. Few kids winding up and getting ready to go back to their homes. I checked my watch to find the time 5:45pm. It was a very dark evening, very less light and not many walkers too, so I was sure my walk would be feasible for half an hour or so. And I started walking listening to Enrique’s ‘Escape’.

It was a very quiet evening though. The plants had just been watered and the pavement was wet and rendered a good scent of freshly watered earth. Surprisingly, as I continued my walk, more and more walkers joined me. Some were the regular faces but some of them were new. I saw a couple with their toddler and a mother with hers. She was teaching the kid to walk. It was an adorable moment. I also saw a man who had brought his cute little snow white dog to walk. The puppy was really cute and was friendly- atleast not barking at us.

So with so many walkers, I could continue my walk through the one hour. The night sky was clear with a hint of dim stars here and there.  I am glad that I could have this time of solitude for I have been going through some tough times and have to make the right choice. I am better acquainted with myself, thanks to such ways, of sharing my mind.

My Night Walk & Talk

Ratz says: A Very Happy December

My morning walks got converted into evening walks and finally I had a night walk today. It was my mistake that I missed my evening walk as I slept off to complete my last night’s sleep. I had to wake up abruptly this morning, thanks to my class at totally abnormal hours.

But I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoy my night’s walk. It was so calm and serene, with the full moon in the sky. Our upstairs looked beautiful with the silver light from the moon. It was a mildly cloudy with the clouds forming beautiful currents with the wind, criss- cross lines passing all along the sky. My sister and I were the only two souls I could see. The tall buildings in the distance that we could otherwise see clearly, appeared blurred tonight with the mist rising slowly. I saw the metro train crossing by every few minutes and apart from that there were sounds of distant vehicles.

I was listening to songs again and singing along. I would call this night’s walk as a walk but I remember that I wasn’t walking at a constant pace. I was just moving along with the music playing in my ears. After an hour of walking, I called up my best friend and there was no stopping afterwards. We laughed over all those incidents that we had during our college days. My sister was passing me some serious looks asking me to cut down my volume but in vain.

By the time I had finished talking, I realised that we had been on the phone for half an hour. The cold was getting high and it was a cue to get back to my cozy bed. But a night worth remembering and I am fine about missing my evening walk.
